Titanium Fasteners Aerospace : 3V titanium fasteners include threaded NAS and MS titanium bolts and screws manufactured from TI-6AL-4V. They weigh 40% less than comparable non-titanium hardware, have high strength-to-weight ratios, retain properties at high temperature, and resist corrosion. Parts can have tensile strengths as high as 160 ksi and shear strengths of 95 ksi.
The fasteners come with 12-point, hex, flush, flat fillister, or pan heads in thread sizes -04 to -8 and diameters 0.093 to 0.500 in. Specify uncoated or with aluminum or cadmium plate.

TI-3AL-2.5V TITANIUM TUBING

Primarily used in aircraft applications where strength is required but weight is a critical factor. Ti-3Al-2.5V is used in tubular form since it has proven to be much more malleable than Ti-6-4 and has useful properties for applications in hydraulic systems. Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium tubing can be cold worked by standard tube manufacturing processes, is weldable and can be strengthened by a combination of cold working and subsequent heat treatment.

Primarily used in aircraft applications where strength is required but weight is a critical factor. Ti-6Al-4V has always been the first titanium choice in the aerospace industry. Due to the fact that it is not a malleable alloy, it is more commonly used in sheet and plate applications. Titanium sheet and plate

KM Steel India stocks titanium in both commercially pure and alloyed forms. 

The principal characteristics of commercially pure titanium include an excellent resistance to corrosion by a wide range of natural and artificial environments, together with a useful strength-to-weight ratio. 

Commercially pure titanium can be readily forged, formed, welded, etc., by most of the processes conventionally used for the stainless steels, which it resembles in many mechanical and chemical respects. 

The most common and widely used titanium alloy in the aerospace industry is 6Al-4V, which is used for applications requiring higher strength and corrosion resistance.

  • Standard sizes are 2 m x 1 m (6½ ft x 3¼ ft)
  • We stock many non-standard sizes
  • Thicknesses from 0.41 mm to 152.4 mm (0.016 in to 6.0 in) are available
  • Forged blocks up to 304.8 mm (12 in) are also stocked

  • Any size can be cut from our stock range with a tolerance of ± 0.50 mm (0.0197 in)

Surface protection

  • All stock items are held in temperature controlled warehouses to prevent condensation

A-Minimum and maximum limits apply to tests taken both longitudinal and transverse to the direction of rolling.  Mechanical properties for conditions other than annealed or plate thickness over 1 in. (25 mm) may be established by agreement between the manufacturer and the purchaser.
B- T equals the thickness of the bend test specimen.  Bend tests are not applicable to material over 0.187 in (4.75 min) in thickness.
C- For Grades 5, 6 and 32 the elongation on materials under 0.025 in. (0.635 mm) in thickness may be obtained only by negotiation.
D- Elongation for continuous rolled and annealed (strip product from coil) for Grade 9 and Grade 18 shall be 12% minimum in the longitudinal direction and 8% minimum in the transverse direction.
E- Properties for material in the solution treated condition.
F- Material is normally purchased in the solution treated condition.  Therefore, properties for aged material shall be negotiated between manufacturer and purchaser.
